Viennese Waltz

Viennese Waltz is a smooth progressive dance characterized by both short and long, flowing movements, continuous turns. Graceful and elegant, but with speed; Waltz dancers glide around the floor almost as effortlessly as in a standard Waltz. Note that the viennese waltz is considered, by most, to be the most challenging ‘smooth’ dances to learn. Such is probably true, due to the rapid foot movements, combined with constant close partner connection. It is advisable to become proficient in the standard waltz; before tackling the viennese waltz.
