Quickstep

The Quickstep was derived from the Fox Trot, in the late 1920′s. It is an extraordinary fun dance, as the overall movement of the bodies is somewhat flowing, while the feet are often moving quite quickly; hence the name “Quickstep”. This is, admittedly, not an easy task to master, but for those who already have a good grasp on the fox trot, the basics of quickstep will come more easily. Then, later on, in the advanced levels, the quickstep is punctuated with kicks, twists, foot crosses, hops and skips. At those levels, it requires a lot of energy, and it’s a ton of fun!
